Character personality.
Cho is a very dominant, very energetic, very charismatic young woman with a very strange way of looking at the world.  Over the years, most of her friends have been Gryffindors, and as such she has become quite brave, often trying to bite off more than she can chew when it comes to her duties as an Auror.  She is an extremely irreverent person, often not giving any thought to whom she may offend with her outspoken opinions.  Cho has a strong sense of justice and morals, and is considerably intolerant of those who support anything even partially related to dark wizardry.

One of Cho's more interesting habits is tilting her head to the right whenever she's confused or caught off-guard by a statement.  She does it a lot, and doesn't even think about it; no one has ever brought this quirk to her attention, and so she doesn't notice it.  Most of the time, she's a friendly, hyper, eager-to-please girl who just wants to have a good time and enjoy life while she's young enough to get away with it.  She's got a mischievous streak that a mile wide, and thoroughly enjoys tormenting her fellow Ministry employees with her best friend Harry's help.  Although she certainly enjoys practical jokes, she never really intends to hurt anybody except Roni Chambers. While Ravenclaw might not be known for its deep, unshakable loyalty to others, Cho would not hesitate to jump infront of her friends and take a curse for them.  At her best she's selfless, giving, courageous, and a leader.  At her worst, Cho retreats into herself and harshly alienates everybody around her, even her closest and most treasured friends.

Cho still has a very arrogant, almost frigid side to her that comes out a little more than she would like to admit during confrontations.  She is not very skilled in the area of keeping her mouth shut when she should, and as such tends to spit out whatever she's thinking without thought of the consequences.  When she starts to get angry, she'll keep quiet, answering in short sentences, and keep it all inside until someone pushes the wrong button and she erupts into an entirely different person. On the plus side, if she's allowed to blow up and get all of her anger/frustration out, she usually simmers back down into an easier-to-talk-to person within a somewhat reasonable amount of time.  In general, she tries to avoid confrontations; however, despite her small stature, she's not afraid to fight dirty and protect herself.

Cho also does not believe in letting any negative emotions show through.  Regretably, she let many of her inner anxieties and worries be known to the public during her school years, and she feels that that has given her a reputation as an overly emotional person.  A good example of her determination to keep her darker emotions to herself is when Theodore informed her that he was fleeing for fear of being returned to Azkaban; she channeled her worries into awkward, if heart-felt, pieces of advice for his safety and left the room before she could let herself cry.

There are only a few people whose opinions Cho considers to be "more valid" than her own -- or, rather, three people to whom she will always defer, even if she does so with extreme frustration.  The first of these people is Cedric Diggory.  As much as she cares about him, Cho finds it very annoying that she can never seem to bring herself to directly go against what he says.  This isn't to insinuate that she considers him above her, but rather, she respects Cedric far too much to disreguard his opinion, especially since, in the past, it has usually been about her own well-being and safety.  The second of these people is Kingsley Shacklebolt -- Cho's deference to Kingsley lies dominantly in the fact that he is head of MLE, but also in that Kingsley has always been a role model for her, as a fellow Ravenclaw who became an Auror and helped fight the good fight against Voldemort and the Death Eaters.  The last (but not least) of these people is Tonks, Cho's Auror mentor.  Cho had always idolized Tonks in school, and was ecstatic to be able to train under her in MLE.  Tonks is probably one of Cho's closest friends, both in and out of MLE.  They might bicker a lot, but Cho holds a deep respect for Tonks that is only helped by their strong friendship.  Cho kind of views Tonks as a big sister-figure and cherishes the bond greatly.

When someone first meets Cho, it's easy for her to come off as a little overbearing, what with her massive amounts of energy.  It's almost always friendly, though, and Cho especially likes to give people the benefit of the doubt -- as was the case with her modeling gig with Pansy Parkinson.  Cho had been close friends with the original Theodore Nott in school, and even though she was forced to fight against him in the war due to his taking up the Dark Mark, a small part of her still believes that her friend is inside of there somewhere and that maybe Theodore didn't really want to take the Mark.  She generally keeps this opinion to herself, although she is very open with just about everything else.  Cho seems to have little to no shame at all, and usually brushes off most negative comments with a tinge of sarcasm and a helping of usually-at-least-half-honest amusement.  Generally Cho tries to stay optimistic, and tries to save any upsetment or otherwise unpleasant emotions for the quiet of her room, where it can be her problem and her problem alone -- in contrast, she still needs to learn how to open up and let herself expose any vulnerabilities.

At the end of the day, though, Cho is just a simple girl with a pretty smile trying to find her place in the world.
